Shorter screws can fix the top into soffit or cabinet framing. To vent out the back, remove each motor's cover plate and motor screws, rotate the motor 180°, refit it starting with the center screw without pinching the wires, and secure the cables above it.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eBefore mounting, inspect the hood for shipping damage, plug it in and test the lights and both fans; report damage to the dealer and do not install a damaged hood.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ePower: the cord plugs into a GFCI-protected outlet wired to a breaker. The breaker size is not legible in the copy of the manual we hold, so have an electrician confirm the outlet and circuit.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eUse: run the blowers whenever you cook and keep the filters clear. Heat oil slowly, never leave a burner on high unattended, and for a grease fire smother it with a lid or metal tray and turn off the burner; never use water or move a burning pan.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCare:\u003c\/strong\u003e Turn the hood off, unplug it and let it cool first. Wipe the stainless steel with the grain using hot soapy water and a cotton cloth, a liquid degreaser for heavy grease and a stainless cleaner for spots, then a non-abrasive polish if you like. Do not use abrasive or corrosive cleaners, steel wool or scouring pads, keep cleaner out of the control panel, and do not let cleaners, salt or bleach sit on the surface. Wash the baffle filters and grease channels by hand in hot soapy water or in the dishwasher and dry them completely before refitting: slide each filter forward off the rear lip, lower the back and slide it out. If nothing runs, check the breaker and the cover on the rear of the hood; for weak airflow, raise the speed and check the duct size, route, damper and cap rating; for vibration, check the hood is secure and tighten the nuts on each motor axle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3 id=\"warranty\"\u003eWarranty\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBlaze warrants the hood for one year from the original purchase date, parts only: it covers non-consumable parts that fail from manufacturing defects.
