The Primo Cypress Grill Table for the Oval XL (PG00600, listed here as the Curved Cypress Table) is Primo's hand-made wood grill table for its Oval XL 400 ceramic kamado. Primo calls it a sturdy hand-made table designed for both durability and beauty. The grill sits in the table on the ceramic shoes Primo includes, which hold the hot ceramic base up so air can move underneath it.
Primo lists this table for the Oval XL 400 PGCXLH and the Jack Daniel's Edition XL; we also sell it already paired with the Jack Daniel's head as the Jack Daniel's Edition Oval XL 400 on Cypress Table PGCXLHJ. It ships unfinished and rolls on four casters: two locking casters at the front keep the grill in place while you cook, and two standard casters at the back. Installation planning
- Lifting the grill in: Primo's oval grill unpacking instructions (PG1000596) call for two adults, one at each end, with one hand under and one behind the grill. Never lift it by the hinge assembly. Lock the stand's casters before setting the grill in it, and use a 5 mm hex key to check that both bands are tight before and after first use (do not overtighten).
- Airflow: set the grill on the ceramic shoes, so air can move under the hot ceramic base.
- Placement: Primo asks for 12 in. of space behind the grill so the lid can open fully, and at least 2 in. around the outside of the grill. Choose a smooth, level spot and lock the front casters while you cook.
- Finish before use: seal the bare cypress (see Care below) before the table is left outdoors.
Care: Primo ships its Cypress tables unfinished. For its Cypress countertop tables, Primo calls for a standard exterior sealant such as marine or spar varnish, with more than one coat on the first application and resealing as needed, and notes that stain is not a sealant. Primo publishes no separate care steps for this table; ask us to confirm before you finish it.
Warranty
Primo Ceramic Grills' warranty page does not name its Cypress tables. Its general terms give a limited 1-year rust-through warranty on all cast iron parts and on "all other parts and accessories" unless stated otherwise, alongside the limited lifetime warranty on ceramic parts and limited 5-year rust-through warranty on metal parts of its grills. Ask us to confirm the coverage for this table before you order.
Primo's conditions: coverage is for the original purchaser; the product must be installed according to Primo's instructions; keep a bill of sale or payment record. Replacement parts ship at the purchaser's expense. Not covered: damage from use, misuse, improper installation or storage, unauthorized service or parts, lack of maintenance, removal and reinstallation, service calls, labor, travel, diagnostic and freight charges. Claims go through your dealer with the model number and proof of purchase, or through Primo's online warranty claim form; international claims are not accepted.
