Description

The Blackstone Select 36" Griddle Airfryer Combo (model 6006) puts a four-zone propane griddle and an electric convection oven drawer in one 304 stainless steel cart. Burgers and eggs cook on the 768 sq. in. griddle while fries, wings or vegetables crisp in the drawer below, so the sides don't wait for a free burner.

The oven runs from a touchscreen with a temperature setting, a timer that turns it off at zero and a range up to 500°F. Two side tables lift and lock into place for about 1,500 sq. in. of prep space, and an extra-large soft-close drawer and six accessory hangers keep your tools at the cart.

Plan ahead: it runs on a standard 20 lb propane tank, and the oven plugs into a grounded outlet on a GFI-protected circuit. Set it up outdoors, 36" from anything combustible.

  • Cooking area: 768 sq. in., 4 zones
  • Air fryer: Electric, touchscreen, up to 500°F
  • Fuel: Propane, 20 lb tank
  • Size: 72" W x 32" D x 46.5" H
  • Warranty: 3 years

Features

  • Four heat zones on a 36" griddle: a 35-3/4" x 21-1/2" Omnivore griddle plate with each burner on its own knob, so you can hold eggs on low while burgers sear on high. Blackstone rates the top for about 30 burgers or 21 pancakes at once.
  • Convection oven drawer: power, start/pause, temperature and timer on a touchscreen. It starts at 350°F, and a buzzer sounds and the oven shuts off when the timer runs out.
  • Air fryer basket and crumb tray: the basket sits on the tray, so crumbs stay out of the oven.
  • Lift-and-lock side tables: about 1,500 sq. in. of prep space, on legs you can adjust for height. Two side shelves beside the griddle hold up to 10 lb each.
  • Storage at the cart: an extra-large soft-close drawer, six accessory hangers, and a hook on the left side that holds the propane tank.
  • Hood: closes over the griddle between cooks. Keep it open whenever the burners are lit.
  • Rear grease cup with liner: scrape grease and debris to the back of the plate and empty the cup once it cools.
  • Electric ignition: push a knob in and turn it to light that burner. The igniter runs on one AA battery (not included).
  • 304 stainless steel cart: on four locking caster wheels.

Installation planning

  • Outdoors only. Never use it inside a building, garage or other enclosed area, or in a boat or RV. Under a roof, the space can have no more than two walls, or three walls with at least 30% of the enclosure's perimeter permanently open. Doors, windows and screens don't count as open. With no roof, up to three walls is fine.
  • Clearance: keep 36" between the sides and back of the griddle and anything combustible. Don't use it under a combustible overhang, or on or under an apartment or condo balcony or deck.
  • Gas: installation must meet local codes, or ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54, CSA B149.1 or CSA B149.2 where there are none. Use only the supplied regulator, hand-tighten it to the tank, and leak-test every connection with soapy water before lighting. Never store a spare tank under or near the griddle.
  • Power: plug the oven into a grounded outlet on a GFI-protected circuit. Don't use a 2-prong adapter.
  • Assembly: plan on two people. The griddle top and hood lift onto the cart as one piece.
  • Weather and storage: it operates down to 0°F. Let it cool to 115°F before moving it. Store it indoors only with the propane tank disconnected and removed; outdoors, keep it covered.

Care and maintenance

  • Before the first cook: wash the griddle top once with hot, soapy water, then season it: heat on high for about 10 minutes, spread 2-3 tablespoons of oil in a thin layer, and repeat 3-4 times until the surface is black.
  • After each cook: while the top is still warm, scrape debris into the grease cup and wipe it down. Add a few tablespoons of water and scrape again (a little coarse salt helps with stuck-on food), then dry it and apply a thin coat of oil. Don't use soap on a seasoned top.
  • Grease cup: empty it after every use, once it has cooled.
  • Oven: use cooking oil in a spray bottle; aerosol cooking spray wears down the basket's non-stick coating. Don't clean the oven with a water spray or alcohol.
  • Cart and body: wash with warm, soapy water and wipe dry. Don't use Citrisol, abrasive cleaners or concentrated cleaners. Check and clean the burners at least once a month, since spiders and insects can block them.
