Collection: Summerset Grills & Outdoor Kitchens

Summerset makes stainless steel gas grills and the components to build an outdoor kitchen around them: side and power burners, griddles, a pizza oven, outdoor-rated refrigeration, sinks, and island doors and drawers. Grills run from the 25" Sizzler to the 42" Quest, and every grill is made in a natural gas and a propane version.

How to choose and plan the island

Size the opening first

Match the island opening to the cut-out above, then check the product page for clearances, since they differ by series. Lit grills (Sizzler Pro, TRL Pro and Quest) run their lights from a transformer, so plan an outdoor-rated outlet near the island.

Masonry or framed island

Grills, side burners and the Griddle Pro go straight into a non-combustible island. For an island framed with combustible materials, Summerset makes liners for its grills, side burners, power burner and Griddle Pro: a 1-inch, double-walled #304 stainless steel sleeve that drops into the opening and keeps the heat off the framing.

Freestanding

Carts turn the Sizzler, Sizzler Pro, TRL Pro and Griddle Pro heads into freestanding units, and the Resort has its own pedestal cart. The carts are #304 stainless steel with propane tank storage inside.

Build out the kitchen

  • Doors and drawers: double-walled #304 stainless steel doors with magnetic latches, and drawers on full-extension ball-bearing slides. Flush-mount versions sit flush with the island face; masonry-frame versions (model numbers ending in M) have a 1-inch return that covers the edge of a stone or brick opening.
  • Vented doors and propane: a propane tank stored in the island needs a vented door or a vented pull-out drawer so the compartment can breathe.
  • Burners: the Pro double side burner (SB2PRO) gives two 12,000 BTU burners, and the Pro Power Burner (PB2PRO) handles woks, seafood boils and stock pots.
  • Refrigeration: 15", 22" and 24" refrigerators, wine coolers, a kegerator and a 50 lb-per-day ice maker. The 15" and 24" units are UL rated for outdoor use, and each unit has a trim kit to finish the opening.
  • Griddle and pizza oven: the Griddle Pro has an 8mm #304 stainless steel cooking surface, and the Hybrid pizza oven cooks on gas or wood.

Summerset warranty

Summerset grills, doors and drawers carry the Summerset (AMD Direct) Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty, with non-prorated replacement parts. Refrigeration has its own, shorter terms.

  • Grills, lifetime: the stainless steel construction, cooking grates, burners, burner covers, valves, flame tamers, heat zone separators, temperature gauges, hood springs and briquette systems, against manufacturer defects.
  • Grills, 3 years: all other parts, components and electrical, including LED bulbs, switches, transformers and interior halogen lights.
  • Refrigeration: 3 years on all construction for 15" and 24" units; 1 year for 22" units.
  • Doors, drawers, grill liners and carts: lifetime on construction, workmanship and materials for all stainless steel parts.

Register the product with AMD Direct within 30 days of purchase. The warranty covers the original purchaser at the original delivery address, supplies replacement parts only (not labor), and does not cover discoloration, surface rust or corrosion from harsh, coastal or salt-air environments.

Summerset questions

What is the difference between Sizzler and Sizzler Pro?

Same frame and cut-out. The Pro adds cast stainless burners at 14,000 BTU each, an infrared rotisserie burner, a briquette system and interior lights.

Which Summerset grill comes with the most accessories?

The Quest. It ships with a griddle plate, smoker box, rib rack, rotisserie kit and grill cover.

Can I put a Summerset grill in a wood-framed island?

Yes, with the Summerset grill liner made for that model. Without a liner the island has to be non-combustible.

Flush mount or masonry frame doors?

Flush-mount doors and drawers sit flush with a smooth island face. Masonry-frame models (ending in M) have a 1-inch return that laps over the edge of a stone or brick opening.

Do I need to register my Summerset warranty?

Yes. Summerset asks you to register with AMD Direct within 30 days of purchase to validate the warranty.
