Description

The Broilmaster 26-Inch Stainless Cart (BSACT26) turns the G-Series Elite 26 (BSG262N) grill head into a freestanding grill you can place where you want it on the patio. Broilmaster's specification sheet gives it as 26" W x 37-1/4" H x 23-3/4" D. Two soft-close doors open onto storage underneath, two side shelves add prep space and fold down when you are not cooking, and rubber stoppers let the shelves fold gently.

Heavy-duty locking casters on each wheel let you roll the grill into position and lock it there. Inside, a tank securing strap with ring and a tank step on the bottom panel hold a propane tank, a large round opening in the back panels passes the propane hose, and further openings take the light transformer and its wire on grill heads with lights. The grill head sits in the top of the cart and is fixed with two M5x12 screws on each side.

Plan ahead: the cart arrives in parts for assembly with a screwdriver and a second person, and the grill head is sold separately. This cart is made for the G-Series Elite 26 (BSG262N); Broilmaster offers the same head built into an island instead.

Installation planning

  • Assembly order from the cart manual: with an assistant, unpack every part; turn the bottom panel upside down on a protective surface and fit the locking casters; add the side panels (the tank hole in the bottom panel goes on the right), the bottom and upper back panels, the tank step and the tank strap; fit the door unit and its two handles; attach the shelf brackets and a side shelf to each side panel. Tighten every screw with a screwdriver.
  • Set the grill head into the cart and secure it with two M5x12 screws through the side holes, toward the front, on the inside of the grill. Some adjustment may be needed for proper placement and level.
  • Propane: secure the tank with the strap and ring, and route the hose through the large round opening in the back panels. The grill head manual calls for one 20 lb tank with an overfill prevention device, no larger than about 12" in diameter x 18-1/2" high, at 11" water column; never fill a tank beyond 80%, and never store a spare tank within 10 ft.
  • Grill lights: run the light transformer wire through the openings in the back panels; the transformer plugs into a GFCI-protected, grounded outlet.
  • Leak-test every gas connection with soapy water before first use, at the start of each season and each time the tank is changed. Never use a flame.
  • Outdoor use only: never under overhead combustible construction, and never on a balcony, deck or patio above the ground floor. Keep the clearances to combustible construction given on the grill head's rating plate and in its manual (BR0188), and allow room behind the hood so it opens fully.
  • Lock the casters once the grill is in position.

Care: Wipe the stainless steel once the grill has cooled, remove food residue, polish with the grain, and do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool.

Warranty

Broilmaster's stainless steel specification sheet lists carts among the select stainless components with a limited lifetime warranty against rust-through; valves, knobs, ignitors, labels, hoses, fittings and other parts and accessories, including stainless steel ones not listed, have a limited 1-year warranty against rust-through. Broilmaster's stainless warranty covers the original purchaser only; claims go through your installing dealer with the model and serial number and proof of purchase. Full terms are in the grill head's owner's manual and on Broilmaster's warranty page.
