Description

The Primo GO Portable Carrier for Oval Junior (PG00321), which Primo now sells as the GO Cradle and lists as the GO Portable Top, is a carrier with handles that holds the Primo Oval Junior 200 ceramic kamado so two people can carry the grill to a tailgate, campsite or picnic. Primo says it can be used with or without the GO Base.

Paired with the Primo GO Base PG00322, the carrier becomes a two-piece cradle and base that also works at home on a deck or patio without a grill table or cart. With the Oval Junior 200 PGCJRH in place, Primo calls the GO the largest portable ceramic grill available: 210 sq. in. of cooking area, or 360 sq. in. with Primo's optional rack system. For a rolling stand instead, see the Junior cart base PG00318, the Junior cart with side shelves PG00320 or the Junior countertop table PG00614. You can also browse our Primo and kamado grills collections.

Plan ahead: the carrier, the GO Base and the grill are each sold separately. The Oval Junior head alone weighs 100 lb, so carrying it is a two-person job. Primo does not publish the carrier's size, weight or assembly steps; ask us for them before you order.

What's included

  • Primo GO Cradle (portable carrier) for the Oval Junior 200

Primo's GO pages list the cradle, the GO Base and the Oval Junior as sold separately. Primo does not publish a carton parts list or hardware list for the carrier.

Installation planning

  • Lifting: the Oval Junior head weighs 100 lb (Primo spec sheet). Primo's oval grill unpacking instructions (PG1000596) call for two adults to lift the head, one at each end, with one hand under and one behind the grill, and never by the hinge assembly. Primo's GO pages also say to carry the GO with the help of a friend.
  • Placement at home: Primo's Junior spec sheet asks for 10 in. of space behind the grill so the lid can open fully, and at least 2 in. around the outside of the grill. Set the GO on a level surface.
  • Assembly: Primo does not publish GO assembly instructions; follow the instructions packed with the carrier.
  • Lighting and fuel: Primo's Quick Start Guide calls for natural lump charcoal only and no lighter fluid; light with fire starters, a chimney or an electric starter with the dome open.

Care: weather, moisture, salt, scratches and chemicals can mark metal parts (Primo warranty), and Primo's warranty excludes damage from improper storage.

Warranty

Primo Ceramic Grills' warranty page does not name the GO cradle. Its general terms give a limited 1-year rust-through warranty on all cast iron parts and on "all other parts and accessories" unless stated otherwise, alongside the limited lifetime warranty on ceramic parts and the limited 5-year rust-through warranty on metal parts other than cast iron. Ask us to confirm the coverage for this carrier before you order.

Primo's conditions: coverage is for the original purchaser; the product must be installed according to Primo's instructions; keep a bill of sale or payment record. Rust, fading, surface blemishes and oxidation are not covered unless they cause a part to fail. Replacement parts ship at the purchaser's expense. Not covered: damage from use, misuse, improper installation or storage, unauthorized service or parts, lack of maintenance, removal and reinstallation, service calls, labor, travel, diagnostic and freight charges. Claims go through your dealer with the model number and proof of purchase, or through Primo's online warranty claim form; international claims are not accepted. Full terms are on Primo's warranty and parts page.
