Description
The Primo Cypress Countertop Table for the Oval Junior 200 (PG00614; part #614 in Primo's instructions) is Primo's wood grill table for the outdoor cook who wants more work space beside the grill. Primo describes it as designed for the outdoor chef who needs more space and enjoys the beauty of a wood table. The Junior sits low on its own grill shelf, on the four ceramic shoes Primo includes, with the dome rising through an opening in the table top, so the counter around it is free for prep and plating. A lower side shelf under the counter adds storage room.
This table is sized for the Primo Oval Junior 200 head (Oval Junior 200 PGCJRH), Primo's 100 lb oval with a 210 sq in main grate. Primo makes the same countertop table for larger ovals, the Large table PG00613 and XL table PG00612. The table ships unfinished and rolls on casters, with locking casters at the front to hold the grill in place while you cook. Plan ahead: the grill head is not included. The table arrives in sub-assemblies that bolt together with carriage bolts and a 13 mm or adjustable wrench, and it needs a sealer coat before it lives outdoors. Primo does not publish the table's overall size or weight; ask us for them before you plan your patio space.
Features
- Countertop around the grill: the grill shelf sits below the table top, so the counter surrounds the Junior's dome and gives you prep and serving space at hand.
- Lower side shelf: a second, lower shelf under the counter for storage.
- Locking casters: roll the table into place, then lock the front casters so the grill stays put while you cook.
- Ceramic shoes included: four ceramic shoes hold the grill base up off the shelf for airflow under the hot ceramic.
- Unfinished cypress: seal it, or stain and then seal it, to suit your patio; Primo calls for marine or spar varnish.
- Bolt-together build: six steps with carriage bolts, washers and nuts; the hardware bags ship under the bottom shelves.

Installation planning
- Tools and hardware: an adjustable wrench or 13 mm wrench. The hardware bags are attached under the bottom shelves. Carefully remove the four shipping blocks from the ends of the table top before you start.
- Assembly order (Primo): (1) bolt the grill shelf to the left side assembly through the bottom hole, about 9 in. above the caster, with 2-1/2 in. carriage bolts, washers and nuts; (2) attach the center support assemblies to the other end of the grill shelf through their middle holes; (3) attach the side shelf to the same center supports through the bottom holes; (4) attach the right side assembly to the far end of the side shelf with the 4-1/2 in. bolts, snug the nuts by hand and stand the table upright; (5) set the table top on the legs with its opening above the grill shelf, line up the cross-support holes and tighten all nuts until the bolt heads begin to seat into the wood; (6) set the four ceramic shoes on the grill shelf, protect the table top with towels or cardboard, lower the grill into place and adjust the shoes so the grill sits stable.
- Casters: place the leg assemblies so the locking casters face the front of the table, and lock them before you lift the grill in or start a cook.
- Lifting: never lift the table by its top shelf. Primo's oval grill unpacking instructions (PG1000596) call for two adults to lift the grill head, one at each end, with one hand under and one behind the grill, and never by the hinge assembly.
- Placement: Primo's Junior spec sheet asks for 10 in. of space behind the grill so the lid can open fully, and at least 2 in. around the outside of the grill. Choose a smooth, level spot for the casters.
- Finish before use: seal the bare cypress (see Care below) before the table is left outdoors.
Care: Primo ships its Cypress tables unfinished. Its countertop table instructions call for a standard exterior sealant such as marine or spar varnish, with more than one coat on the first application (more coats give better protection), and resealing as needed. Stain is not a sealant, so a stained table still needs a sealing coat.
Warranty
Primo Ceramic Grills' warranty page does not name its Cypress tables. Its general terms give a limited 1-year rust-through warranty on all cast iron parts and on "all other parts and accessories" unless stated otherwise, alongside the limited lifetime warranty on ceramic parts and the limited 5-year rust-through warranty on metal parts other than cast iron. Ask us to confirm the coverage for this table before you order.
Primo's conditions: coverage is for the original purchaser; the product must be installed according to Primo's instructions; keep a bill of sale or payment record. Weather, moisture, salt, scratches and chemicals can affect metal parts, and rust, fading, surface blemishes and oxidation are not covered unless they cause a part to fail. Replacement parts ship at the purchaser's expense. Not covered: damage from use, misuse, improper installation or storage, unauthorized service or parts, lack of maintenance (including not tightening bolts regularly), removal and reinstallation, service calls, labor, travel, diagnostic and freight charges. Claims go through your dealer with the model number and proof of purchase, or through Primo's online warranty claim form; international claims are not accepted.
