Description
The Summerset 36-inch stainless steel wind guard (SSWG-36) stands behind a built-in grill from 25" to 32" wide and blocks wind from blowing into the rear hood vent.
Summerset grills pull air in at the front and vent heat out of the back of the hood. Wind against that rear gap can hurt cooking performance and overheat the control panel and knobs. Summerset excludes wind damage such as melted knobs from its warranty, so a guard is worth adding on an exposed patio.

Installation planning
- Summerset's wind guard sheet: the guard must stand higher than the openings at the back of the grill, at least 3" from the grill if the guard is non-combustible, or 18" if combustible.
Warranty
Summerset lists this accessory under its Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty (replacement parts, non-prorated). Register the product with AMD Direct within 30 days of purchase to validate the warranty. It covers the original purchaser at the original site of delivery and ends if ownership transfers. Warranty claims supply replacement parts only, not labor, and the warranty does not cover discoloration, surface rust or corrosion from harsh, coastal or salt-air environments, or damage from improper installation, misuse or grease fires.
