Description
The Whistler Grills 42-inch 5-burner built-in gas grill (CBB500, the Prime 500) is the largest head in the line: five cast stainless steel burners for 75,000 BTU across 760 sq. in. of cooking area, plus a 265 sq. in. warming rack.
It ships with the most extras of any Whistler grill: a rotisserie kit, grill cover, smoker box and heat divider. A ceramic infrared rear burner runs the rotisserie. Choose propane or natural gas above.
Prefer it on wheels? The CBF500CDC ships this head with its cart, and the CBB500 Cart is sold separately. For a combustible island, use the 5-burner insulating jacket.
Whistler Grills is the current name of the Bonfire line from the same manufacturer, Bonfire Production Corp.; this model was previously sold as Bonfire.

- 75,000 BTU: 5 cast stainless steel burners at 15,000 BTU each, with 5 stainless flame tamers.

- Four extras included: rotisserie kit, grill cover, smoker box and heat divider.

Installation planning
- Cut-out: 40 5/8" W x 20 1/16" D x 10 1/8" H. Whistler's cut-out drawing adds 3 1/2" behind the opening so the hood can open fully.
- The control panel sits flush against the front wall of the island. If the countertop overhangs the front wall, cut it back flush across the width of the control panel.
- Build it into a non-combustible enclosure (masonry, stone, steel). For an island framed with combustible materials, use the 5-burner insulating jacket.
- Leave openings in the island for drainage, replacement air and cross-ventilation. A propane tank stored in the island needs its own vented compartment, isolated from the grill.
- The lights run on the included transformer. Mount it at least 6" above the ground and plug it into a GFCI outlet (not included).
- Propane: use the supplied regulator and hose without alteration. Natural gas: no regulator is needed at the grill; connect it through a shut-off valve. Whistler strongly recommends professional installation and gas hookup.
- Rear burner: ceramic infrared, for rotisserie cooking with the hood closed. Don't run it with the main burners on, and take the warming rack out first.
Warranty
Whistler / Bonfire limited warranty for the original owner (not transferable), residential use in the US or Canada: limited lifetime on the cast stainless steel burners, stainless steel cooking grates and stainless steel housing; 3 years on the infrared rear burner, cast brass side burner, knobs, brass valves, drip pans, flame tamers and warming rack; 1 year on all component parts, the ignition system (batteries excluded) and electronics, including lights and thermometers. Under the lifetime and 3-year terms the part is repaired or replaced free, and the owner pays labor and freight. Harsh detergents or degreasers void the warranty.
