Description
The Bull Brahma is a 38-inch built-in gas grill with five cast stainless steel burners at 15,000 BTU each and a 15,000 BTU infrared back burner, 90,000 BTU in total, under a single-piece, dual-lined hood.
It has 943 sq. in. of total cooking surface: 720 sq. in. of primary space on solid stainless steel grates plus a 223 sq. in. warming rack. Twin interior lights, piezo igniters with zinc knobs and a heavy-duty thermometer round it out. Choose natural gas or propane above.
Bull no longer bundles the rotisserie kit with next-generation Brahma Premium grills; the 38" rotisserie kit (56000) is sold separately.
Plan ahead: decide the fuel before the island is built. Propane needs its own vented, closed-off tank compartment; natural gas needs a line with a shut-off valve run by a licensed gas fitter. The grill lights need a GFCI-protected outlet inside the island. Bull requires a UL 710 listed vent hood if anything combustible is overhead.

Installation planning
- Cut-out: 38-1/2" W x 21" D x 9-1/2" H. Overall size: 39-3/4" W x 25-1/4" D x 21-1/4" H.
- Build it into a non-combustible enclosure.
- Keep 21" between the sides and back of the appliance and any combustible material. Under an overhead combustible structure, a UL 710 listed vent hood must be installed and running while you cook.
- Propane models ship with a regulator hose set to 11" water column; natural gas models ship with a regulator set to 4" water column. Have a licensed gas fitter make the connection.
- Bull defines outdoors as: no roof and up to three walls; a roof and no more than two walls; or a roof and three walls with at least 30% of the perimeter permanently open. Never use it in a garage, porch, breezeway, shed or other enclosed area.
- Propane in an island: the tank compartment must be closed off from the grill, hold only one 20 lb tank, have its floor at least 2" above the ground, and have vents of at least 20 sq. in. within 5" of the top and 10 sq. in. within 1" of the floor (Bull recommends vents on every exposed side), plus a tank retention system such as Bull's retention system (16674). Bull's venting screen (44500) covers a vent opening.
- Natural gas: the installer supplies a 3/8" female flare flexible connector and a shut-off valve, to ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54 in the US or CSA B149.1 in Canada (connectors to ANSI Z21.75/CSA 6.27). No Teflon tape on flare fittings, and disconnect the appliance during any gas-line pressure test above 1/2 psi.
- Leak-test every connection with a 1:1 soap and water solution at installation, at the start of each season and each time you change the tank.
- Before first use, remove the shipping cotter pins (one per burner) and check that each burner sits on its valve orifice.
- The lights run from a transformer plugged into a GFCI-protected outlet. Mount the transformer at least 6" above the ground with four screws (not supplied).
- For a commercial installation under NSF/ANSI 4, seal the grill to the counter with NSF/ANSI 51 listed sealant.
Care: Inspect the burners at least once a month: spiders and insects nest in burner tubes and can cause a flashback fire. Healthy flames are blue, about 1/4" tall on low and 1-3/4" on high; the air shutter adjusts them. Wash the grates in mild soapy water, deep-clean the grill once a year, and never line the bottom with foil or sand. Disposable 38" liners (24269) keep the grease tray clean. Stainless steel is not rust-proof: wipe it down regularly near pools, salt air, fertilizer and lawn chemicals, and in hot, humid weather.
Warranty
Bull warranty periods for its current gas grills: lifetime on the insert assembly and cooking grates; lifetime on the cast stainless steel burners; 3 years on the manifold, handle end caps, flame tamers, heat shields and warming rack; 1 year on the lid, control panel, grease tray, bezels, knobs, temperature gauge, valves, regulator, flex tubes, rotisserie burner, transformer and lighting. Bull's limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser at the original site of delivery or installation. It does not transfer to a later owner and does not cover rental, commercial or other non-residential use. Bull replaces the defective part or product free of charge, but does not pay shipping on replacement parts or labor. Damage from transport, storage, improper installation or use, the wrong gas supply, skipped maintenance, modifications, normal wear, rust, corrosion, oxidation or discoloration is not covered.
Register the product with Bull online (customer service portal) or with the mail-in card in the box, and keep your receipt: Bull asks for both when you make a warranty claim.
