Description

The Primo 3-Sided Rotisserie Basket (PGRBF) is Primo's three-sided basket for its grill rotisserie. Primo says it is perfect for cooking multiple cuts of fish, beef, poultry, or even filled with veggies for a delicious rotisserie meal.

It needs a Primo rotisserie kit, sold separately: Primo states "Rotisserie Kit required." Primo lists the basket for the XL, XL JD, Large, Junior and Round grills, and its product page also lists the XXL. We carry the Oval XL rotisserie PGXLR, the Oval Junior rotisserie PGJRR and the Round rotisserie PGRR. For other rotisserie cooking, see the rotisserie basket PGRBO (no flipping) and the rotisserie kebab holder PGRBK, or browse our Primo collection.

Plan ahead: Primo does not publish the basket's material, dimensions, weight, load limit or the spit sizes it accepts, and its rotisserie may not be compatible with certain pre-2015 grill models, so tell us your grill and rotisserie before you order.

What's included

  • Primo 3-sided rotisserie basket (PGRBF)

Primo does not publish a carton list for the basket. Ask us to confirm the contents before you order.

Installation planning

  • Confirm your rotisserie first: the basket needs a Primo rotisserie kit in your grill's size. Primo says its rotisserie may not fit certain pre-2015 grills, and its warranty does not cover unauthorized parts, so match it before ordering.
  • Setup: Primo does not publish written instructions for the basket, so ask us before your first cook.
  • Placement of the grill: Primo's Round and Junior spec sheets ask for 10 in. of space behind the grill so the lid can open fully, and at least 2 in. around the outside of the grill; the Large and XL spec sheets ask for 12 in. behind.
  • Fuel and lighting: use only natural lump charcoal, lit with a fire starter cube or two, a chimney or an electric starter with the dome open. Never use lighter fluid or any other combustible liquid; Primo says the ceramic absorbs it.
  • Temperature: Primo's Quick Start Guide has you set the draft door and fine-tune with the top vent in 1/4 in. steps, closing the top vent to one-third open when you are 25°F from your target; it notes it is easy to raise the temperature but very difficult to lower it.

Care: Primo's owner's manual says the grill is self-cleaning: heat it to around 500°F to burn off food and debris. Primo's warranty maintenance asks you to remove ash from the cast iron grate, clean the cooking grates and cast iron surfaces after each use, and check and tighten the band bolts several times a season and after each high-heat cook.

Warranty

Primo Ceramic Grills gives the original purchaser of the grill a limited lifetime warranty on all ceramic parts, a limited 5-year rust-through warranty on metal parts other than cast iron, a limited 1-year rust-through warranty on cast iron parts and on all other parts and accessories unless stated otherwise, and a limited 30-day warranty on felt gaskets and thermometers. Primo's warranty page does not state a separate term for the 3-sided rotisserie basket, so the general term for parts and accessories applies unless Primo states otherwise; ask us to confirm the coverage before you order.

Primo's conditions: coverage is for the original purchaser; the product must be installed according to Primo's instructions; keep a bill of sale or payment record. Replacement parts ship at the purchaser's expense, and the existing part must be disposed of once the replacement arrives. Not covered: rust, fading, surface blemishes and oxidation unless they cause the part to fail; damage from use, misuse, improper installation or storage; unauthorized service or parts; lack of maintenance (including not removing ash from cast iron grates and not checking and tightening bolts several times a season); removal and reinstallation, service calls, labor, travel, diagnostic and freight charges. Claims go through your dealer with the model number, serial number and proof of purchase, or through Primo's online warranty claim form; international claims are not accepted. Full terms are on Primo's warranty and parts page.
