Collection: Blaze Premium LTE & LTE+ Grills

A Blaze LTE grill is Blaze's core built-in gas grill line, made in 32 and 40-inch widths with 14,000 BTU cast stainless burners and a 10,000 BTU rear infrared burner. This page covers the original Premium LTE and the current Blaze LTE+, which adds a hood-assist lid and automatic interior lights.

What's in the Blaze Premium LTE series

Every Premium LTE and LTE+ grill is a 304 stainless steel built-in grill head with cast stainless steel burners at 14,000 BTU each, a 10,000 BTU infrared rear burner for rotisserie cooking, Blaze's patented 9 mm triangular searing rods, perforated flame-stabilizing grids, removable heat zone separators, a full-width drip tray and a double-lined hood. All models have interior lights and illuminated control knobs, so they need a GFI-protected 15-amp outlet inside the island. Each is sold as a propane (LP) or natural gas (NG) model.

Blaze LTE vs LTE+: what changed

The LTE+ (model numbers ending in LTE3) is Blaze's update of the Premium LTE (LTE2). Blaze lists three changes:

  • Hood assist: a spring-assisted mechanism makes the hood easier to open and close.
  • Lighting: improved interior lights that switch on automatically through a magnetic sensor and stay on during use.
  • Knobs: a new knob design whose lights turn red when a burner is on.

Burners, BTU, grates and cut-outs are the same, so an LTE+ drops into an island built for the same-size LTE.

Marine Grade 316L option

The Premium LTE+ Marine Grade BLZ-4LTE3MG is the 32-inch LTE+ built entirely from 316L stainless steel, burners included. 316L contains molybdenum for better corrosion resistance than 304, which is why Blaze recommends it for coastal and poolside kitchens. Blaze also rates it for multi-user settings such as condos, hotels and marinas. It uses the same 30-5/8" cut-out as the standard 32-inch LTE+.

BLZ-5LTE2 LTE 40" 5 x 14,000 + 10,000 rear 80,000 38-3/8" x 21-1/4" x 8-1/2"

The 32-inch models give 715 sq. in. of cooking space (531 sq. in. main grid plus warming rack); the 40-inch models give 897 sq. in. (670 sq. in. main grid plus warming rack).

How to choose a Blaze LTE grill

  • Size: the 40-inch adds a fifth burner and about 180 sq. in. more cooking space.
  • LTE or LTE+: choose the LTE+ for the hood assist and automatic lighting; cooking performance is the same.
  • Salt air: if the grill will face salt air, pick the 316L Marine Grade.
  • Want a temperature screen and probes? See the Blaze LTE PRO, which shares the same burner layout.

Blaze LTE grill FAQ

Is the Blaze LTE+ the same as the LTE3?

Yes. Blaze model numbers ending in LTE3 (BLZ-4LTE3, BLZ-5LTE3) are the LTE+; numbers ending in LTE2 are the earlier Premium LTE.

Will an LTE+ fit my existing LTE island?

For the same width, yes. The 40-inch LTE+ and LTE share the 38-3/8" x 21-1/4" x 8-1/2" cut-out, and the 32-inch models share the 30-5/8" x 21-1/4" x 8-1/2" cut-out. Confirm the hood clearance in the manual.

Does the Blaze LTE include a rotisserie?

No. The 10,000 BTU rear infrared burner is built for rotisserie cooking, but the spit and motor are sold separately as BLZ-34-ROTIS-SS (32-inch) or BLZ-5-ROTIS-SS (40-inch).

Do Blaze LTE grills need electricity?

Yes, for the lights. The Blaze manual calls for a 15-amp outlet on a GFI-protected circuit inside the island for the light transformer.

Do I need an insulated jacket?

Only in a combustible island. The Blaze LTE+ manual requires a non-combustible enclosure or a Blaze insulated jacket, so a jacket is required in a combustible island; please confirm the jacket model for LTE+ grills with us before ordering. A licensed contractor should install it.

What warranty does the Blaze LTE have?

Blaze gives a lifetime warranty on the burners, cooking grids, body, flame tamers, heat zone separators, warming rack and valves, and 1 year on ignition, electrical and lighting parts. Register within 30 days of purchase.
