Description
The Blaze BLZ-5-CART-SC is the stainless steel freestanding cart for Blaze's 40-inch 5-burner gas grill heads. Blaze lists it for the Traditional BLZ-5 and the Premium LTE BLZ-5LTE2 (propane or natural gas). The grill sets into the top of the cart and locks to the cart's upper back panel, two 11-inch stainless side shelves give you prep space, and four heavy-duty casters let you roll it into position. Overall it measures 63-1/2" W x 22-1/16" D x 35-1/2" H and weighs 78 lb.
Below the grill, two doors on soft-close hinges open (36-1/8" W x 18-1/2" H opening) to a cabinet for the propane tank, grill cover and tools. A propane block and locking bolt in the base hold the tank in place.
Plan before you order: the grill is sold separately and the cart ships flat for assembly. We also sell this cart already paired with the current Premium LTE+ BLZ-5LTE3; Blaze's cart page names only the BLZ-5 and BLZ-5LTE2, so we have asked Blaze to confirm that newer pairing in writing. Installation planning
- Assembly: about 19 steps with a #2 Phillips screwdriver (not included). Use hand tools only; Blaze warns that power tools can damage or loosen the threaded inserts. Work on a towel or blanket, remove all protective film, and plan on a second person once the casters are on. Fully tighten and lock the casters before turning the bottom panel upright.
- Setting the grill: only after every cart screw is tightened, lift the grill into the cart with a second person, push the cart's upper back panel into the slot on the back of the grill, fit the locking screws on each side of the back panel, then tighten all screws.
- Clearances (Premium LTE and LTE+ grill manual): at least 18" from combustible construction at the sides and 18" at the back, never under combustible overhead construction; under non-combustible overhead, a UL-approved vent hood with 72" of clearance. Leave room for the cart's full 63-1/2" width plus these clearances.
- Propane: one standard 20 lb cylinder (12-1/4" diameter x 18" high, with an overfill prevention device) held by the propane block and locking bolt; never more than one cylinder in the cabinet. Leak-test every connection with soapy water before use. Natural gas grills need an installer-supplied flex connector and an accessible shut-off valve.
- Electrical: the LTE grills' lights run from a transformer on a 15-amp, GFI-protected circuit. The grill manual has you mount the outlet using the 4 holes inside the cart, and the cart's hardware pack includes four 8-32 screws for the transformer. Plug the LED lead into the transformer before setting the grill in the cart.
Care: Clean the stainless steel along the grain with a stainless steel cleaner and no harsh abrasives. Cover the grill and cart only when cool and dry (Blaze recommends a vinyl cover). Blaze excludes discoloration and surface rust caused by chlorine, salt air, fertilizers and similar exposure from its grill warranty.
Warranty
Blaze lifetime warranty to the original owner against defects in manufacturing and workmanship, for products used in ordinary single-family home use. Register with Blaze using the QR code on the cover of the cart manual and keep your receipt. The grill you set in the cart has its own warranty, shown on that grill's page and in its manual. Ask us and we will send the current Blaze warranty document before you order.
