Description

This package pairs the Blaze Professional LUX BLZ-4PRO, a 44-inch gas grill with 4 commercial-quality cast 304 stainless steel H-burners at 18,000 BTU each and a 10,000 BTU infrared rear burner (82,000 BTU in total), with Blaze's matching 4-burner Professional grill cart BLZ-4PRO-CART-LTSC, so the grill stands on its own on a patio instead of in an island. The 40" x 19-15/16" cooking grid and removable warming rack give 1,050 sq. in. of total cooking area, and a rotisserie kit with a waterproof motor is included for the rear burner.

The LUX grill head uses heavy 12 mm stainless steel hexagonal cooking rods, flame-stabilizing grids that limit flare-ups, removable heat zone separators, a full-width drip tray with removable baffles and a double-lined 304 stainless steel hood. Internal lights and illuminated control knobs light it at night, and Push N' Turn flame-thrower ignition has an individual flash tube backup. Choose propane or natural gas above to match your gas supply.

The stainless steel cart (75-7/8" wide with its shelves) has two folding side shelves, two drawers with ambient white lighting for the grill cover and tools, a soft-close front door over the cabinet that holds the propane tank, and four heavy-duty locking casters. Prefer to build in? See the built-in Professional LUX 44-inch (BLZ-4PRO). For a smaller footprint, see the 34-inch Professional LUX on its cart (BLZ-3PRO + BLZ-3PRO-CART-LTSC).

Plan before you order: the cart ships for assembly with hand tools and the grill head needs two people to lift into place; keep 18" from combustible material at the sides and back, 5" behind the grill for the lid and 6 feet below any overhead construction; the lights need a GFI-protected 15-amp outlet; and propane models take one 20 lb cylinder.

Installation planning

  • Cart assembly: hand tools only, with a #2 Phillips screwdriver and a 9 mm wrench (not included); Blaze warns that power tools can damage or loosen the threaded inserts. Use a helper, peel the protective film and work on a soft surface. Lay the cart on its back to fit the four casters, lock them and stand the cart up; remove the front shipping support bar if your cart has one; fit the LP tank support under the bottom panel; hang both side shelves on their brackets; mount the light transformer inside the back panel; then, with a partner, lower the grill head into the cart, fix it with one screw on each side and fit the handles.
  • Remove the cooking grids and the parts above the burners before lifting the grill head, to reduce weight.
  • Clearances: at least 18" from combustible material at the sides and back, and 5" behind the grill for the lid. Keep at least 6 feet of clearance above the grill to any overhead construction and never use it under unprotected combustible overhead construction. Use the grill only on a firm, level surface.
  • Propane: one 20 lb cylinder at most (12-1/4" diameter x 18" high, right-hand threads, with overfill prevention device), kept upright and never stored indoors; the tank support's large bolt threads into the cylinder's lower ring to hold it to the cabinet floor. Connect the 3/8" flare fitting to the brass coupling with a 3/4" wrench and no pipe sealant. Natural gas: a flex connector of at least 1/2" diameter; the regulator is set to 4" water column and accepts 0.5 PSI (about 14" water column) or less. Keep the cart cabinet ventilated.
  • Electrical: a 15-amp GFI-protected outlet for the light transformer; the appliance must be grounded and any extension cord outdoor-rated.
  • All gas connections must be made by a qualified installer (otherwise the warranty is void). Fuel conversion is for a licensed gas professional: change each main burner orifice (6 mm socket, light torque), fit the large brass rear-burner orifice and set the regulator, then adjust the air shutters until the flame is mostly blue.
  • Leak-test before each use: brush a 1:1 liquid soap and water mix on every joint with the gas on and look for bubbles. Never use a flame.

Care: Let the grill cool before cleaning. Wipe the exterior after each use with a stainless steel cleaner, scrubbing with the grain, and never cover it while damp. Clean the drip tray after each use with hot soapy water. To clean grids, flame tamers and racks, run the main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes with the hood closed, then brush with a stainless bristle brush. Run the infrared burner on high for 5 to 7 minutes with the hood open after each use, and never use the rear burner with the warming rack in place. Check the burners for spiders and insects before each use, and clear clogged ports with a wire brush.

Warranty

Grill: Blaze limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects and rust-through on the main burners, cooking grids, body (stainless steel housing), flame tamers, heat zone separators, warming rack and control valves; 1 year on ignition, electronic and lighting components, from the purchase date. Register the grill with Blaze within 30 days of purchase.

Cart: Blaze lifetime warranty to the original owner against defects in manufacturing and workmanship, for ordinary single-family home use.

The grill warranty covers the original owner at the original site of delivery in the United States and Canada and is not transferable. The owner pays labor and shipping for warranty parts. Discoloration and surface rust are not covered unless there is structural rust-through (causes include improper maintenance, high heat, humidity, chlorine, fertilizers, pesticides, chemicals and salt). Gas installation by anyone other than a qualified installer voids the warranty, and the grill is not intended for commercial use. Full terms are in the manual below.
