Fridge, beverage cooler or drawers?

Pick a solid-door fridge for food and drinks: the SSRF-15 and SSRF-5.5 hold 34 to 68°F, and the SSRF20-4.3 holds 34 to 50°F, cold enough for raw meat waiting for the grill. Glass-door coolers show what is inside and suit cans, beer and wine. The double-drawer model lets you reach the back without bending into a door. For a flush built-in finish, each size has a matching Blaze stainless trim kit.

Installation notes from the Blaze manuals

  • Plug into a grounded 115V outlet on a 15-amp circuit, ideally its own, with no extension cord.
  • Keep the unit away from the grill's heat and out of direct sun; follow the manual. Blaze recommends a covered spot such as a pergola.
  • The double-drawer fridge must have its anti-tip brackets fitted before use.
  • The ice maker needs a 1/4" cold water line with a shut-off valve and a floor drain less than 5 feet away.

Blaze fridge FAQ

Are Blaze fridges outdoor rated?

All of the models above except the BLZ-SSRF126 are listed by Blaze as outdoor rated. Blaze rates its 15, 20 and 24-inch single-door fridges and coolers for 60 to 90°F surroundings; the double-drawer model is listed as outdoor rated, so ask us for its range. Blaze publishes no outdoor rating for the SSRF126.

What replaced the Blaze BLZ-SSRF-50DH?

The 24-inch, 5.5 cu. ft. outdoor-rated BLZ-SSRF-5.5. It has a solid 304 stainless door, holds up to 152 cans and fits a 26" W x 24-1/2" D x 35-1/8" H cutout.

How far from the grill should a Blaze outdoor refrigerator be?

Keep it away from the grill's heat and out of direct sun, and follow the installation manual for your model.

Do I need a trim kit?

No. Blaze fridges run built in or freestanding without one. A trim kit frames the opening for a finished built-in look, so match the kit to your fridge's width and model.

Can a Blaze fridge have its own circuit?

Blaze recommends it. Each unit plugs into a grounded 115V outlet on a 15-amp fuse or breaker, ideally a dedicated circuit, and must not run on an extension cord.
