Blaze built-in grill sizes and cutouts

The Prelude LBM 25 and 32 have been replaced by the BCM 25 and 32, which use the same cutouts. Every model except the BCM has a 10,000 BTU rear infrared burner for rotisserie cooking.

Built-in vs drop-in: the same grill

"Drop-in grill" is another name for a built-in grill. The grill head lowers into the countertop cutout, and the island carries the weight and hides the gas line. Any Blaze grill head on this page can also stand on a matching cart; see Blaze grill carts or Blaze freestanding grills.

Island requirements from the Blaze manuals

  • Combustible islands: the island must be non-combustible, or the grill must sit in a Blaze insulated jacket. LTE PRO grills take their own LTE PRO jacket. With a jacket, frame the island to the jacket's cutout, which is wider than the grill cutouts above. Shop Blaze insulated jackets.
  • Power: Premium LTE, LTE+, LTE PRO and Professional LUX grills have lights that need a GFI-protected 15-amp outlet inside the island. The BCM has no lights and needs no outlet.
  • Venting: a propane island needs vents at floor level.
  • Overhead: Blaze does not allow installation under a combustible roof or overhang, and the Professional LUX manual requires at least 6 feet between the countertop and any overhead construction.

Does Blaze make a 36-inch grill?

Not in the built-in gas lineup we carry. Blaze built-in grills come in 25, 32, 34, 40 and 44-inch widths. The closest sizes to 36 inches are the 34-inch Professional LUX (BLZ-3PRO) and the 40-inch Premium LTE, LTE+ and LTE PRO grills. Size the island to the cutout in the table above.

Do I need an insulated jacket for a Blaze built-in grill?

Yes, if the island is built from combustible materials such as a wood frame. The Blaze installation manuals require a non-combustible enclosure or a Blaze insulated jacket sized for your grill.

Will a new Blaze grill fit my old Prelude LBM cutout?

Yes. The BCM 25 (BLZ-3BCM) and BCM 32 (BLZ-4BCM) use the same cutouts as the Prelude LBM 25 and 32. The 40-inch Premium LTE+ (BLZ-5LTE3) also fits the cutout of the 40-inch Premium LTE (BLZ-5LTE2).

Can I convert a Blaze built-in grill from propane to natural gas?

Order the model that matches your gas supply, because each grill is sold as a propane (LP) or natural gas (NG) version. The Blaze manual says any conversion must be done by a licensed gas professional with Blaze parts.

Do Blaze built-in grills need electricity?

Models with lights or a digital screen do: Premium LTE, LTE+, LTE PRO and Professional LUX need a GFI-protected 15-amp outlet inside the island. The BCM has no lights and needs no electrical connection.

Is a rotisserie included?

The Professional LUX and LTE PRO grills include a rotisserie kit. Premium LTE and LTE+ grills have the rear infrared burner, but the spit and motor are sold separately (BLZ-34-ROTIS-SS for 32-inch, BLZ-5-ROTIS-SS for 40-inch). The BCM has no rear burner.
